% + SST

% + SST

3.5% + SST = 3.78% of everything the buyer pays, including shipping. On very cheap orders it rounds to RM0.00. Credit Card Instalment and SPayLater orders are charged a different rate.

RM+ SST

RM0.50 + SST = RM0.54 on every completed order, however cheap. Untick if you're exempt this month: 100 or fewer net orders in the last 30 days, or 200 or fewer with RM3,000 or less in sales, or your first listing is 60 days old or less.

% + SST

Only if you joined the Shopee Cashback Programme. 5.5% normally, 7.5% on campaign days. Capped at RM100 per item before SST. Shopee adds it to the Platform Support Fee and shows the total as "Service Fee"; hover its "?" on an order to see if you're enrolled. Cashback vouchers don't work on virtual goods, but the fee is still charged.

% + SST

Only for pre-order listings.

Why did my cheap listing go negative?

  • Since 16 July 2025 Shopee charges a Platform Support Fee of RM0.54 (RM0.50 + 8% SST) on every completed order. A 5 sen item can't cover it.
  • You're only exempt while you're small: 100 or fewer net orders in the last 30 days (or 200 or fewer with RM3,000 or less in sales), or your first 60 days. If your sales are tiny, the limit that matters is 200 orders. Shopee rechecks on the 1st of each month, so a busy month of cheap orders switches the fee on for the next month.
  • From 14 August 2026, virtual goods pay 23.5% commission (21.5% in the Cashback Programme) + 8% SST, about a quarter of your price. New sellers pay none until their first listing is 120 days old or they pass 200 completed orders.
  • To fix it: price at or above the lowest safe price, or sell packs/variations (e.g. "10 pcs") so one order carries many units and the RM0.54 is shared.
